The Purpose

A 100-day BAASE Alignment program designed to improve physique, eliminate chronic aches and pains, improve joint range of motion and challenge mindset.

How It Works

When muscles are out of alignment they pull the bones into positions that cause postural weaknesses.  These postural shortcomings lead to greater problems like shoulder rotator cuff issues, headaches and lower back pain. Eliminating aches and pains is done through BAASE training.  BAASE training  engages and develops under-trained muscles.  It does this in a few ways:

  • holding and repeating positions long enough to elicit a neurological response that retrains muscle patterning
  • engaging the muscles that are underdeveloped by advancing a pose or loading a pose with weight
  • improving joint range of motion by working a joint to its fullest range
  • improves circulation

Retraining muscle patterning involves retraining mindset as well.  You retrain mindset by:

  • challenging the physical body
  • building awareness of the physical and mental habits that negatively impact life
  • repetition and practice of positive self-talk

During this program you will get the opportunity to fully understand the power of meditation.  Meditation can be used to clear the mind and allow room for new concepts and ideas. You'll also learn Qigong techniques that will help you regenerate, recuperate and increase your energy flow.  This portion of the program will be instructed by experts Cherie Strickland and Kathy Loscalzo owners of Wholistic Nursing Practice (see below).

How Its Structured

This program is 100 days of BAASE alignment training.  You'll practice poses, sequences, meditation, mindset awareness and breathing techniques in some form Monday through Saturday each week until May 5th, 2022.  The classes will be held via Zoom  at 11:00 am CST.  These classes will be recorded and available for viewing on that same day.

Each month has its own sequence.  Each day you'll practice specific poses from that sequence.  Interspersed within training you'll practice mediation, breathing and mindset training.

By the end of the 100 days, you'll be well versed in 4 sequences designed to improve your physique, build strength, improve joint range of motion and eliminate chronic aches and pains.

I was surprised to discover that in 60 days I had lost 18 lbs of fat and gained 5 lbs of muscle.  I've got more energy during the day and am in a good mood much more often than I had been at the beginning of the Challenge. Following Monkey Bar's structure yields results even if you didn't think it was possible to progress.

- Craig Monroe

My goals were to 1) increase my full body strength, focusing on my core and upper strength, 2) eat a more whole foods based diet, 3) lose 5-10 lbs. and 4) increase my overall energy level.  I've met my goals and I've never felt more in balance with my body!

- Sara Kwitek

After 60 days of good, hard workouts and relatively healthy eating, I feel great.  I lost the 5 pounds I gained last fall and feel stronger all over.  In fact, just last week I was standing with my hands on my hips when I noticed how rock hard may abs felt!
